In Vicenza, per il Megietti, 1622, in-8, end of the XIXth / beginning of the XXth century nice half red morocco binding, four raised bands with gilt title and date (1622) on the spine, marbled paper on the boards, pp. [16], 217 [but: 219], [3], the last leaf is blank. Another blank leaf following the one that is present has not been bound in the volume (see collation in opac.sbn.it). With printer’s devices on the title page and on the verso of the last printed leaf (this one is an aldine anchor). A woodcut illustration on leaf N8 verso. A restored wormhole on leaf F6. Ceresoli, p. 133: “unica edizione vicentina”, and p. 131: “L’opera del Carcano si può considerare come il più bello tra i libri classici della falconeria italiana, d’indole pratica, e, se si vuole, in rapporto all’epoca della pubblicazione, anche tecnica. Francesco Carcano, nobile vicentino, esercitò per oltre quarant’anni la falconeria […]”. The first edition was printed in 1568 (some bibliographers quote a 1547 edition but it doesn’t exist).
